Inline TMV3-listed thermostatic mixing valve for bath fill and shower applications, installed close to the point of use to deliver blended hot and cold water at a maximum of 43°C to baths and 41°C to showers. The TMV3 scheme requires independent third-party testing and annual in-situ verification, unlike the self-certified TMV2 scheme. Fails safe to cold on loss of either supply.
NHS HTM 04-01 and HSG 274 Part 2 both require TMV3-listed valves for bath fill in care homes. TMV2 valves are not acceptable for this application because they are self-certified. HSE ACOP L8 (Legionella) also references point-of-use temperature control as a key measure. The BEAMA TMV3 scheme provides the independent certification that care home operators need to demonstrate compliance.
TMV3 listed (BEAMA/WRc scheme); maximum outlet temperature 43°C (bath), 41°C (shower); fails safe to cold; BS EN 1287 tested; ½" or ¾" BSP connections; suitable for 0.1–5 bar dynamic pressure.
